Cultivation
Also known as: flower, bloom
The phase when cannabis produces buds, triggered by 12/12 light (photoperiods) or age (autoflowers).
The flowering stage is when cannabis produces its cannabinoid-rich buds. Photoperiod plants enter flower when the dark period reaches about 12 hours; autoflowers begin automatically with age. Flowering typically lasts 7–12 weeks depending on genetics. During this phase the plant stretches early, then packs on bud weight and resin. Environmental control — lower humidity, careful feeding, no light leaks — is critical to avoid mold and maximize potency.
