A cluster of buds growing tightly together; the main cola is the large central bud at the top of the plant.
A cola is a cluster of flowers that grow tightly together along a stem. The largest, the 'main cola' or apical bud, forms at the very top of the plant where it receives the most light. Training techniques like topping and SCROG are designed to create multiple large colas instead of one dominant top, maximizing the number of premium bud sites and overall yield.
