Cultivation
Cutting off the main growing tip to split it into two colas, creating a bushier plant with more bud sites.
Topping is a high-stress training technique where the grower cuts off the plant's main growing tip above a node. This removes the plant's apical dominance, causing the two nodes below to grow into two new main colas. Repeated topping creates a bushier plant with many even colas, increasing yield. It's best done during veg on photoperiod plants; on autoflowers it's risky because there's little time to recover before flowering locks in.
