Entourage Effect

The theory that cannabis compounds (cannabinoids + terpenes) work better together than in isolation.

The entourage effect is the hypothesis that the various cannabinoids and terpenes in cannabis act synergistically, producing effects that differ from any single isolated compound. For example, the presence of CBD and certain terpenes may soften THC's anxiety potential, while a strain's full terpene profile shapes whether the high feels uplifting or sedating. It's a leading explanation for why whole-flower cannabis feels different from pure THC.
