Genetics & Breeding
A cross between indica and sativa genetics, blending traits of both. Most modern strains are hybrids.
A hybrid is a cross between two different cannabis varieties, most often blending indica and sativa lineage. Breeders use hybridization to combine desirable traits — say, the yield of one parent with the potency or flavor of another. The vast majority of strains on the market today are hybrids, often described as 'indica-dominant' or 'sativa-dominant' based on which lineage contributes more. Hybrid vigor (heterosis) can also make F1 hybrids unusually vigorous and uniform.
